Managed Network Services
There are a lot of activities that require monitoring, maintenance, tracking and managing in a modern
business network. Many businesses cannot afford the cost of a dedicated IT Professional. A Managed
Services Provider (MSP) offers all these services at a cost far less than a full-time employee. Plus, a good
MSP is an active partner offering oversight, support and advice now and for future planning.
Let’s look at a few things that are standard when working with an MSP.
· Patch Management
All Operating Systems require patches for the software, device drivers, security issues and so forth. Our
MSP patch management service utilizes several other industry professionals who actively test patches
and advise us to hold off or proceed. In short, patches get done when they are proven to work. After all,
Microsoft is notorious for issuing patches that actually take down entire networks. We’ll let someone
else do the risky stuff and we’ll keep you functional.
· Device Monitoring with Reports
Our Managed Services application uses Remote Agents installed on each Server and Workstation which
allows them to report their status, gives us Remote Access to the device for support and informs us if a
hard drive is filling up, a virus issue has arisen and so forth. Our Support Contracts include a daily status
e-mail sent first thing in the morning so you know things are functioning as they should be. Additionally,
we can pull complete reports on the equipment’s configuration, license numbers and other useful
management items. This is especially helpful when deciding what needs to be upgraded and what can be
utilized elsewhere in the business.
· Remote Help Desk Services
When you need assistance with a problem, we’re available and can easily access your unit from
anywhere that has an Internet connection to help fix issues, recover a file, install a printer and so forth.
Remote Help Desk has reduced support costs tremendously as almost all travel to sites has been
eliminated.
· Network Inventory with Tracking
Networks grow, Operating Systems change, and equipment ages, warranties run out. A key on-demand
service we provide is a full range of equipment inventory types with due dates for service, warranty
renewal and insurance values.
